Colocation Swiftway offers high-end colocation services. The client supplies the server hardware under this plan. Colocation consists of three basic price components: bandwidth, power and rack space. Swiftway also supplies the backup power source. Bandwidth is subjected to 95th percentile adjustment or gigabyte usage plans. We sample your actual usage for 5 minutes. We then average the total and post the result as a 5 minute usage point on your usage graph. Over the month, we will continue to plot the 5 minute averages, which total about 8640 points plotted on the graph. We then take the top 5 percent of your usage (432 points) and throw it out. Your usage is determined based upon the highest remaining usage plotted. If your usage is at or lower than your commited data rate (CDR) after we have taken off the top 5%, you will not receive any additional billing. Any usage over the minimum will be billed at the appropriate rate. You are placed on a burstable or flatfee link. You will be able to monitor your bandwidth usage to understand exactly what your usage is. At the beginning of the next month, you will get a bill for the actual 95th percentile usage. Rackspace The second component of System Outsourcing is rack space. We offer colocation services in quarter-rack increments. In addition, clients supply network equipment to connect their server(s) to our network. Alternately, clients can rent network equipment from Swiftway. Swiftway offers colocation in its Dutch datacenter Easynet as well as colocation in countries lie Germany, France and the USA.
